Halloween has gone to the dogs and cats!

Pet Parties, Costume Contest, Dog/Owner lookalike contests, doggie and kitty trick or treats, pet adoptions, and more!
South Florida pets and pet lovers can have so much fun during this Howl'oween!

Here's a calendar of fun events to attend with your four-legged best friends:


10/29/2009, 6 - 9 PM, 2nd Annual Halloween Hair Ball, John Bull English Pub, 801 Village Blvd # 309, West Palm Beach, FL (in the Village Commons ). Hosted by PetNet to benefit the Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League. Spooky Specialty Martinis & Light Appetizers. Animal Communicator Lorraine Smith will be on-hand to tell your pet's future. Creepy Creatures Pet Costume Contest. Entry fee:$5 members/$15 non-members (per category or per dog).

10/30/2009, 6:30 - 8:30 PM,
Pet Chamber of Commerce presents Barkoween!, Petco, 1635 NW 107th AVE (In the International Mall Shopping center), Doral, FL. Bring your kids and your pets – Candy !! Treats for pets!!! Raffle!! Contest for the scariest Pets and kid!! And For the cutest kid and Pet.

10/31/2009, 10 AM - 12 PM, Howl-O-Ween Party, American Red Cross South County Service Center, 5820 N Federal Hwy, Boca Raton, FL 33487. Join the American Red Cross for a spook-tacular time with your pooch: dog costume contest, dog pie-eating contest, Halloween photos with your dog, doggy bags, and more. 561-994-2060.

10/31/2009, 4 PM, Halloween Costume Contest and Pet Portraits, Paws on the Avenue, 525 Lake Avenue, Lake Worth, FL. 561-588-6533. $5 registration fee (donation which goes to
Palm Beach Animal Care and Control Spay Shuttle).

10/31/2009, 6 - 9 PM,
Animal Aid adoption event at Whole Foods Market, 810 University Drive, Coral Springs. Animal Aid is a no-kill shelter now located in Boca Raton, FL.

11/1/2009, 5:30 PM,
Howl-o-Ween Dog Swim and Costume Contest at the Historic Venetian Pool, 2701 De Soto Blvd, Coral Gables, FL. Entrance to Venetian Pool is by ticket only and tickets must be purchased in advance at the pool, beginning: October 1 (Coral Gables Residents) and October 15 (Non-Residents). Tickets are $5. Meet the people from the South Florida Dachshund Meetup Group at the Wading Pool Terrace.
