What a deal!
From February 21st until the 25th, 2012, many of South Florida animal rescue organizations will be offering low cost spay/neuter surgeries for cats. The fee is $15 and includes:

• Spay/Neuter
• Rabies Vaccine
• Microchip
• FVRCP Vaccine

All cats must be 8 weeks old or older. Open only to residents of Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties. Appointments are recomended.

Operation Catsnip - Miami Beach

Join the folks of The Cat Network this Saturday, February 11th for "Operation Catsnip", a fundraiser to help spay/neuter the homeless cats of Miami Beach at Chalk Miami Beach Ping Pong and Billiards Lounge.

Complimentary Cocktails from 10 pm to 11 pm and ping pong from 11 pm to midnight. $10 donation at the door with proceeds benefiting the cats of Miami Beach. — at Chalk Miami Beach.

Low cost spay and neuter for cats!

In an effort to help control the pet overpopulation, Miami-Dade Animal Services will offer low-cost ($15) spay/neuter services for cats, every Thursday at the shelter located at 7401 NW 74th Street, Miami, FL 33166.

• Proof of current rabies vaccination for cats over 4 months of age is required.
• If not vaccinated yet,  a rabies vaccine can be obtained at Animal Services for $10.
• Up to 4 cats per household; 2 months and older.
• Cats must be in separate carriers.
• No food or water after 9:00 p.m. the night before.

If you live in Miami-Dade, take advantage of this great oportunity. There are too many homeless cats and not enough homes for all of them. By spaying or neutering your pets you help to reduce the pet overpopulation and give them happier and healthier lives.

Check in at 7:30 a.m. on Thursdays, starting October 1st, 2009. Space is limited. Arrive early, first come first served!

The Spay/Neuter Voucher Program is a $100 incentive for pet owners of domestic dogs and cats residing in Palm Beach County.

To qualify for the program, you must provide any of the following information:

• Show proof of aid from public assistance programs/unemployment benefits or


• Fall within the definition of low-income by the Federal Poverty Guidelines or


• Be a Senior citizen over the age of 70 years

Meow Mobile Spay-a-Thon this Saturday!

In Honor of Spay Day USA (recognized on February 24th), The Cat Network’s Miami Meow Mobile Spay-a-Thon will be at the Petco in Homestead, located at 2565 NE 10th Court on Saturday, February 21st.


This event is open to the public. Costs are $25 per male, and $40 per female. Cat Network certificates will be accepted as well.

• A reservation in advance is required.
• Bring your cat in a trap or carrier.
• Drop-off time is 9:00 a.m.
• No food or water after 10:00 p.m. the night before surgery.

Great news from Doggie Palooza '09!

Wes and Cathy, from City of Plantation report that the event was a success, with over 40 vendors and a great attendance of dogs and owners.
