Barktoberfest is October 7 and 8 at Quiet Waters Park!

Activities run from 8 a.m. to 4:50 p.m. and include:

• Doggie Splash time ($5/dog 50-minute sessions in the water)
• Pet Adoptions
• Doggie Market Place
• Kiddie bounce houses & face painting
• Pet costume contest and more!
• Admission to the event is FREE!

The park's regular weekend and holiday gate entrance fee of $1.50/person (children 5 and under free) will be in effect.

Get Ready, Set (Woof!), Go! - Walk for the Animals - Humane Society of Broward County

The Humane Society of Broward County's Walk for the Animals will take place Saturday March 5, 2016 at Huizenga Plaza in Fort Lauderdale.

Come and join thousands of fellow pet lovers and their dogs in an easy-going 1-mile walk through Downtown Fort Lauderdale along the New River while raising funds to support HSBC's shelter and community outreach programs.

Form a pack, join a pack, walk on your own. Don't have a dog to walk with? Cat lover? You can help!!!

The Humane Society of Broward County provides shelter, aid and responsible adoptions to animals entrusted to their care, and educates the community about respect and kindness to all animals. The funds raised from this event will help continue their mission of helping animals and educating the community. The 2015 The South Florida Pet Expo is back!

Four legged and furry friends get ready! The 2015 The SouthFlorida Pet Expo is back March 21st in West Palm Beach from 10am to 6pm.

This year, @ShortyRossi and Hercules of Animal Planet's TV Show "Pit Boss", will make a guest appearance to tell us about Breed Specific Legislation and his work with Pit Bulls across the country.

The expo features nearly 100 exhibitors featuring the latest products and services to pets and pet-parents. In addition, a whole day of entertainment and activities for the whole family includes:

• Lure Coursing by Swift Paws, education about exotic animals
• Petfinder.com mega-adoption area with more than 200 rescue pets available for adoption.
• Low-cost immunizations and discounted micro-chipping courtesy of Animal Aid Inc.
• FREE nail trims are also available for all the furry friends who need them. 
• Learn about pet care, pet behavior & training.

Dream Dog = Clean Dog; a doggy wash fundraiser for the Abandoned 14

Come out Saturday, March 7th, 2015 10:00am - 3:00pm and support a great cause.

Wash your dog at Browand's best Self -Dog wash,  Dream Dog Wash in Pompano Beach; located across from the Pompano Dog Park and The Pompano Municipal Golf Course.

Grooming tips from Professional groomer Kristen Wolf and assistance with your doggy bath will be available.

In addition, there will be:

• Food Trucks
• Specialty Vendors
• Raffles and Prizes throughout the day
• And..(drum roll)....The Abandoned 14 dogs will be there getting baths too!

The Abandoned 14 is a group of dogs that were dumped at The Dog House; a boarding facility in Pompano Beach.  Dog House 14 Rescue group is dedicated to finding every single one of these dogs a home or a spot in a no kill rescue where they may live out the rest of their natural lives.

Canine Counselors is offering a FREE! program available at the Humane Society of Greater Miami Adopt-A-Pet! 

Join the class! Learn more about your best friend's behavior and how to correct some of the most common "doggie bad manners":

• Pulling on the leash
