Barkham at Markham! Doggie Park

"Barkham at Markham" is the ultimate doggie park!

The park is about three-acre, fenced-in area, just west of the entrance to Markham Park in Broward County.

It was designed as a space for dogs to play leash-free. It includes sections for both large and small dogs, and it was the first dog park in the County landscaped with Bermuda sod to provide a smooth, even grassy playing surface.


Amenities include:

  • 8-foot-wide asphalt paths for walking or jogging with your pet

  • Two shelters feature fountains dispensing chilled water for humans, dogs have their own fountains

  • Washing dog area for doggies of all sizes!

  • The entire dog park is fully ADA accessible.

  • Both dogs and their owners are expected to adhere to Dog Park Rules

DOGGIE PALOOZA - A DOG EXPO


The City of Plantation, Parks & Recreation Department is hosting DOGGIE PALOOZA - A DOG EXPO, Saturday, January 31st from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Happy Tails Dog Park, 6600 S.W. 16th Street, in Plantation.

Come and enjoy a whole day full of fun and activities:

  • Demonstrations by Plantation Police K-9’s.
  • Frisbee Dog Show
  • Storm Riders Flyball Team

  • Best Dressed Dog

  • Most Talented Dog
  • Prizes, Raffles

Admission is a $1.00 for human companions, Canines are free!
The event benefits The Sanctuary Animal Refuge, a local not-for-profit, no kill organization devoted to finding homeless and abandoned animals loving homes.

The Oakland Bark Park

Oakland Bark Park is located in the City of Oakland Park, Broward County. This awesome park has a big off-leash area for dogs to run around; and an area for small dogs.


There are doggie pools and water hoses all over the park to cool off. The park features agility runs for athletic pets to show off their skills; and plenty of benches for humans just to sit, relax and watch all the fun around!.
