Low Cost Vaccination Clinic!

Broward County Animal Care and Regulation will hold a low cost vaccination clinic on Saturday, May 2nd, 2009 at David Park Community Center, 108 N 33rd Court, in Hollywood.

The clinic runs from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Cost is $15 (cash only). To qualify to attend the rabies clinics, a pet owner must prove they are a Broward County resident by producing a valid Florida driver's license or a current utility bill.

Pet owners must bring proof of income (current pay check stub, proof of Public assistance, food stamps, Worker's compensation, unemployment, Social Security, Disability)

  • No appointment neccesary
  • All dogs must be on leashes
  • All cats must be in carriers

Meow-Meow Basics - A Class for Cat Lovers!

The Humane Society of Broward is presenting "Meow-Meow Basics - A Seminar for Cat Lovers" on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at their location on Griffin Road in Broward County.

The class will be about how to understand and educate our feline friends, through behavior modifcation.

Issues to be discussed in class include:

• Litter training
• Scratching
• Marking/spraying
• Stalking
• Fearful cats
• Counter jumping
• Climbing
• Hiding
• Biting
• Cat fights


This well informed and educative seminar will be also addressing:

  • Cats and Pregnancy
  • Multi-cat households
  • Kittenhood
  • Introducing the new pet

Good News from Sun-Trust Sunday Jazz Brunch!

The event was a success; with a great turnout of people and pets! The weather was beautiful and the bands sounded great.

The Humane Society of Broward County will host two Vaccination Clinics in March'09


  • Saturday, September 26th will be for kitty cats only. 7:00am-9:00am.
  • Sunday, Sunday September 27 will be for doggies only. 7:00am - 11:00am
In addition to all required vaccines, they will be offering other services that are essential to maintain our best friends healthy and safe:
  • Micro Chip and Registration
  • Heartworm test for doggies
  • De-wormer medication
  • Rabies tag Broward County only
  • Puppies and kittens packages
If your pet needs vaccinations, take advantage of this great opportunity! No appointment necessary. The clinic is held in the back parking lot of the shelter which is located at 2070 Griffin Road, just west of I-95.
